About Levant Emergency Relief

We provide emergency relief to war refugees, and equip them with the tools and training needed to help their own communities. We do this by sourcing bulk quantities of food, medical equipment, and hygiene products from donors—and asking displaced people what they need to heal. Then we package those goods into shipping containers and transport them to Lebanon, Jordan, and occupied Palestine. There, we work with our partners at Anera to get this life-saving aid directly into the hands of people in need.

How We Work

Materials purchased with monetary donations and obtained through in-kind donations are assembled to make the kits. The kits are sent to frontline groups who distribute them in their area.

FAQ

Q: "Where does Distribute Aid work in the Levant?"

A: We've sent aid shipments to Lebanon, Gaza, the West Bank, and Jordan. Once the aid arrives, our partners at Anera have on-the-ground teams who ensure it goes directly to people in need.

Q: "Who does Distribute Aid help in the Levant?"

A: We work with displaced Palestinian, Lebanese, and Syrian communities across the region. Many of them have recently fled their homes to seek safety (sometimes in different countries), while others are living in long-term refugee camps.

Q: "Is it actually possible to ship aid to the Levant?"

A: Restrictions on aid are always tight in the region, but our team is highly experienced at navigating customs requirements and other logistical hurdles. Although the rules are constantly changing, we've never had a shipment turned back.
